Boom Swivels

Boom Swivel bearings are also referred to as a “Rotating Seal”. Booms are used to load material/liquid from a vacuum tank for different applications. The Boom Swivel design allows the boom to be rotated and effectively used under vacuum or pressure, hence its reference as a rotating seal. Lighter applications may allow the boom to be rotated manually. Heavier applications will require a drive to be attached to the bearing to allow for powered rotation.

Fruitland® Manufacturing offers 4″ to 17″ bearings with or without gears depending on the application. Worm Drive Swivels are also available in 10″ and 13″ models which can be fitted with a hydraulic motor. The main features of a Boom Swivel bearing are:

  • From 4″ to 17″

  • High carbon steel

  • Chromed bearing balls
  • “o” ring type seals
